Not So Basic, Basics: Fundamentals

The Not-So-Basic, Basics is perfect introductory program for youth looking to deepen their understanding of musical theatre or for those who want to start their journey in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

The Not-So-Basic, Basics will cover essential components of musical theatre, including:
Vocal Training: Develop your singing technique and discover your unique voice.
Acting Skills: Learn the fundamentals of character development and scene work.
Dance Techniques: Explore various dance styles that are integral to musical theatre.

In addition to these core areas, students will have the opportunity to delve into stagecraft elements, gaining insight into the behind-the-scenes magic of productions.

At the end of the 10-week program, students will showcase their skills in a collaborative performance for family and friends, celebrating their growth and creativity.

Join us for this exciting journey into the world of musical theatre—where the basics are anything but basic!

$275 for 10 weeks. Every Saturday from 10:30am – 11:30am

Classes Begin September 12, 2026

Lydia is thrilled to be the Program Director of the Not So Basic, Basics program at 20 Performing Arts Academy. With 14 years of performing experience and a lifelong love for writing, the past year has brought new opportunities for her creative work to be showcased.
